Step 1
Give $X / Get $X
Give-and-get is a sentence a client can say to a friend in the chair beside them. For a service where the referral is the main acquisition channel, that simplicity is worth more than clever mechanics.
How to set it up
- Set both sides to $20 for a colour-led salon or $10 for a barbershop — roughly a fifth of a typical ticket.
- Cap it at five referrals per client in the first quarter.
- Make the credit redeemable in-store only, with a thirty to sixty day expiry so it lands inside the next booking cycle.
- Surface the share buttons on the reward screen right after a first-visit promotion is claimed.
What to watch: Friend-side redemptions, not link shares. A shared link that never converts is not a referral.
