Automated re-marketing

The first claim is acquisition. Everything after it is profit.

A promotion gets you a consented customer once. Re-marketing is what turns that record into a second, fifth and twentieth visit — reward reminders, win-backs, flash promotions and booking reminders, sent from your brand with consent you can prove.

Message types

  • Reward reminder

Sent a few days before an unredeemed reward expires. It is the highest-converting message on the platform because the customer already wanted the thing.

  • Flash promotion

A short, capped offer sent to your list when you need a specific shift, night or slot filled. Claim limits stop a generous offer running away from you.

  • Win-back

For customers who claimed once and have not been back inside your chosen window. Segment by promotion, by location or by how long it has been.

  • Appointment reminders

Transactional, sent to people who booked through an appointment promotion. Twenty-four hours ahead by default, which is where most no-shows are recovered.

Rewards program

The promotion is the hook. The list is the asset.

Every promotion type feeds one customer database with one consent record per channel. It is the part of Promotedly that keeps paying after the campaign ends — and the part you can export or delete whenever you want.

  • Every claim asks to joinThe rewards opt-in sits at the end of every promotion, unchecked by default. Customers who say yes become a contactable record; customers who say no still get their reward.
  • Consent is recorded, not assumedEach opt-in stores the exact disclosure text shown, the channel, the purpose, the timestamp and the source page. That ledger is what makes a later send defensible.
  • Email re-marketing on a scheduleNew offers, reward reminders before expiry, and win-back messages for customers who have not been back — sent from your brand, with a working unsubscribe in every message.
  • SMS for the moments that need itFlash promotions, appointment reminders and reward codes. STOP and HELP are handled automatically and the opt-out is permanent unless the customer opts back in.

Consent you can prove

Every send checks the ledger first

Consent is not a checkbox in a settings screen. Each grant and each revocation is appended to a ledger with the exact disclosure text the customer read, the channel, the purpose, the timestamp, the source URL and a pseudonymised IP. Nothing is ever deleted from it, because it is the evidence that a message was allowed.

  • Unchecked by defaultThe rewards opt-in is never pre-selected, and the reward is released whether the customer joins or not.
  • STOP and HELP handled automaticallyInbound keywords suppress the number immediately and permanently unless a fresh opt-in is recorded.
  • A working unsubscribe in every emailOne click, no login, no confirmation maze — and the suppression applies across every campaign for that brand.

Fill a specific gap

Send a flash promotion to the list you built

A flash promotion is the answer to a specific, urgent problem: capacity you are about to lose. It expires on a clock you set, caps the number of claims, and stops accepting new ones the moment either limit is reached.

  • A window, not a discount foreverSet the exact hours, a claim limit that matches capacity, and a countdown the customer can see.
  • Segment before you sendBy promotion claimed, by location, by how recently they visited — so full-price regulars are not trained to wait.

Change frequency

Loyalty challenges keep the list warm

A digital visit challenge that lives on the customer's phone instead of in their wallet. They scan the same QR code on each visit, the progress bar advances, and the reward is issued the moment the goal is met.

  • Progress visible on their phoneStamps, stars or a progress bar. Reward completion with a free item rather than a discount and your margin holds.
  • Spot the quiet quittersAttendance and visit data show who has stopped coming before they cancel or drift, while a message can still change it.

Re-marketing questions

How the messaging actually works

Who is the sender of these messages?
Your business. Messages carry your brand, your sending identity and your unsubscribe path. Promotedly is the infrastructure, not the sender of record, which is why the compliance obligations sit with you and why the consent ledger exists.
How is consent captured?
At the end of every promotion, with an unchecked opt-in control and the full disclosure text visible. The exact text, the channel, the purpose, the timestamp and the source page are written to a permanent ledger. Rewards are released whether or not the customer opts in.
What happens when someone replies STOP?
Marketing sends to that number stop immediately, the revocation is appended to the ledger with its reason, and nothing can silently re-subscribe them. Re-subscribing needs a fresh documented opt-in. Email unsubscribes work the same way on the email channel.
Can I import a list I already have?
Not as a marketing list. Without a consent record we cannot evidence permission to message those contacts, and sending to them risks your deliverability and ours. Use a promotion to collect the same people again with a real opt-in.
How often should I send?
Two to four times a month suits most local businesses, always with something concrete. Watch the opt-out rate per send: a jump above roughly one percent means you are sending too often or sending nothing worth reading.
Do I pay per message?
No. Re-marketing is part of the platform on plans that include offer campaigns, within fair-use limits set to protect deliverability rather than to meter you.
