The punch card nobody loses

“Visit us five times and get a free item.”

A digital visit challenge that lives on the customer's phone instead of in their wallet. They scan the same QR code on each visit, the progress bar advances, and the reward is issued the moment the goal is met.

What the customer sees

From scan to reward, step by step

No app, no account, no download. The whole journey happens in a mobile browser on your branded page.

  1. Scans on the first visit and joins the challenge.

  2. Sees a stamp card, progress bar or star row showing how far along they are.

  3. Scans again on each subsequent visit; the server records the stamp.

  4. Hits the goal and the reward is issued immediately, with its own code and expiry.

How to set it up

Configured in the builder, live the same day

  1. Set the goal

Two to fifty visits. Five is the sweet spot for food and drink; three suits higher-value services.

  2. Choose the reward

A free item, a dollar amount or a percentage, issued automatically on completion.

  3. Stop double-stamping

Set a minimum gap between visits — four hours by default — so one visit cannot be counted twice.

  4. Pick a card style

Stamps, a progress bar or stars.

  5. Deploy

One QR code at the counter, printed once, scanned forever.

What you can configure

  • Visits required
  • Reward type and value
  • Minimum hours between visits
  • Card style — stamps, progress or stars
  • Expiration of the challenge and of the reward
  • Required customer information

Why it works

Loyalty is the only promotion type that pays for itself twice: it increases visit frequency now and it keeps a consented customer in your list for every campaign afterwards. It is also the cheapest to run, because the reward only lands after the visits.

The outcome for this promotion is decided on our server before the customer sees it, so the prize cannot be forced from the browser.

Questions

Loyalty challenge questions

How do I stop somebody stamping five times in one visit?
The minimum-hours-between-visits setting, enforced server-side against the customer record. At the default of four hours a single lunch cannot produce more than one stamp no matter how many times the code is scanned.
Do customers need to remember anything?
Only the email or phone number they used the first time. There is no card to carry, no app to install and no password; the same identifier picks up their progress on any device.
How many visits should the reward take?
Pick a number just above your current average visit count over the reward period. If regulars come four times a month, set the goal at five — close enough to feel achievable, far enough to change behaviour.
