A discount that scales with the basket

“Get 20% off your entire purchase.”

The right choice when your ticket sizes are uneven. A percentage keeps the offer proportionate — small on a small order, meaningful on a large one — and a maximum discount cap keeps your worst case bounded.

What the customer sees

From scan to reward, step by step

No app, no account, no download. The whole journey happens in a mobile browser on your branded page.

  1. Scans or taps into your branded offer page.

  2. Reads the percentage, what it applies to, and any cap.

  3. Submits the contact details you require.

  4. Receives a single-use code with the discount applied at checkout or the register.

  5. Opts into your rewards program for the next offer.

How to set it up

Configured in the builder, live the same day

  1. Choose the percentage

Anything from 1% to 100%. Most local businesses land between 10% and 25%.

  2. Cap the downside

Set a maximum discount so 20% off never becomes a $200 giveaway on an unusually large order.

  3. Scope what it covers

Name the eligible products or services in the fine print and set whether it stacks with other promotions.

  4. Set eligibility

Everyone, or new customers only, with a per-customer use limit.

  5. Deploy

Print the QR card, install the pop-up, or both — the same campaign reports on each source separately.

Why it works

Percentages are the language retail and services have trained customers in for decades, so there is no explaining to do. They also protect you on low-value transactions, where a flat dollar coupon can quietly wipe out the whole margin.

Questions

Percentage-off coupon questions

What percentage actually gets people through the door?
In practice 10% rarely moves anyone who was not already coming, 15% to 20% reads as a real offer, and anything above 30% starts attracting people who only ever buy on discount. Start at 20% with a maximum discount cap and watch the redemption rate before you raise it.
Can I exclude certain items?
Yes. List the exclusions in the fine print field, which is printed on the card and shown above the claim button on the pop-up, and set a minimum spend if you need to protect low-margin lines.
Does the discount apply automatically online?
The customer receives a unique code they enter at your checkout, and your staff or your e-commerce platform applies it. Promotedly issues and tracks the code; it does not take over your payment flow.
